Giuriati Group acquires Up Pharma
Giuriati Group S.r.l. (“Giuriati Group”), a Padua-based company specialising in the development and marketing of dietary supplements, nutraceuticals and personal care products under its own and third-party brands in the pharmacy channel, has acquired 100% of Up Pharma S.r.l. (“Up Pharma”), a Mantua-based company active in the marketing of dietary supplements and nutraceuticals under its own brand name.
The acquisition is part of the strategic plan, initiated by the private equity Fund Gradiente II (managed by Gradiente SGR) and the Giuriati family, aimed at creating a reference group in terms of completeness of offer within the supplements market. With this acquisition, the group exceeds a turnover of 40 million, integrating its portfolio with specialised pro-medicinal products through a capillary network of medical reps managed by Up Pharma.
The agreement was reached with the founding partners of Up Pharma, Marzio Truffelli, Maurizio Celani and Roberto Regonati. Truffelli, in particular, will remain as CEO of Up Pharma and reinvest in Giuriati Group, to support and share the group’s development plan.

For Gradiente, the transaction was led by partner Fabrizio Grasso, investment manager Stefania Lotto and associate Massimiliano Doria. Giuriati Group was assisted by Trim Corporate Finance as financial advisor, SAT Studio Legale for contracts and legal due diligence, Orsingher Ortu – Avvocati Associati for banking contracts, Epyon Consulting for accounting and tax due diligence, and Advant NCTM for structuring the transaction. The sellers were assisted by BMMS Studio Legale.
The acquisition was financed by a pool of banks consisting of Crédit Agricole Italia, which also acted as agent bank, and Intesa Sanpaolo, and assisted by the law firm Orrick.
